Anggy Haïf Le Roi Lion is a Cameroonian fashion designer and musician internationally recognized for his creativity, ability to combine traditional African materials with contemporary fashion trends, and his contributions to global culture. Born on October 15, 1974, in Douala, Cameroon, he began his career as a young talent in Africa and quickly established himself as a leading figure in Afro-chic design.
In 2005, Anggy Haïf won the prestigious competition L’Afrique est à la mode, organized by the Festival International de la Mode Africaine (FIMA) in Niamey, Niger, receiving first prize for his avant-garde approach that merged local techniques with modern haute couture concepts. This achievement opened international doors and allowed his brand, Maison Anggy Haïf (AHDV), to reach a global audience.
Haïf has showcased his collections on major international runways, including Paris Fashion Week (2024 & 2025), the Hilton Cannes rooftop fashion show, German International Fashion Show, and events at Luxembourg Gardens in Paris. His work is recognized for meticulous detail, innovative textile use, and bringing African cultural richness to the global stage.
In addition to his fashion career, Anggy Haïf is also a musician. In May 2022, he released his debut single “Mama Diamond”, followed by the extended version “Mama Diamond (JeeWeiss Rework)”, which includes four songs. These releases are available on major streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music. Through his music, Anggy continues to promote African culture and creativity internationally.
In 2025, Anggy Haïf was honored by Artistas del Mundo for his outstanding contribution to fashion, music, and contemporary culture, highlighting his international reach and impact on cutting-edge design and artistic innovation.
