OFFICIAL STATEMENT ARTISTS OF THE WORLD
In recent weeks, automatic limitations within the Meta ecosystem have been observed, affecting cultural platforms and the organic dissemination of artistic content. These limitations include, among others, the inability to share external links, restrictions on mentions and tags, and the appearance of confusing or inaccurate notices, such as “this user has disabled mentions”, which do not correspond to actual user settings and generate misunderstandings within the community.
Such measures particularly impact cultural platforms, magazines, editorial media, and international artistic projects which, like Artists of the World, do not rely exclusively on Facebook or Instagram for their development, visibility, and growth, and which maintain an established identity, community, and presence beyond those networks.
Meta’s current model prioritizes a predominantly commercial approach, in which publication reach is increasingly conditioned on the continuous use of paid advertising in order to access broader audiences. In this context, the emergence of independent cultural platforms with international reach and organic growth is often accompanied by technical restrictions and operational frictions that hinder their natural expansion.
Artists of the World continues to advance independently and announces the upcoming launch of a new web platform, parallel and complementary to the existing one, designed to enable artistic dissemination without algorithmic limitations, strengthening the direct, large-scale, and transparent reach of artists through the web.
